An autopsy conducted last week has determined that 68-year-old Edward Woyciehowicz of Missoula, Mont., died of cardiac arrest, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

An autopsy conducted last week has determined that 68-year-old Edward Woyciehowicz of Missoula, Mont., died of cardiac arrest, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Just before noon last Tuesday, Kona patrol officers responded to a report of a possible drowning at Kahaluu Beach Park. Upon arrival, they learned that a lifeguard had seen a man floating and had pulled him out of the water and begun cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Fire Department personnel also responded and continued CPR.

The man was taken to Kona Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The autopsy was ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
